I've always considered Fall to be my favorite season. However, the current springlike weather has put me on cloud 9. I feel so...joyful. I'm also managing the stormy weather rather well. After last year's tornado incident, I thought I might be scarred for life. It seems like I may once again be able to enjoy the rain.
Literally. While some of you have been sucked into a dark sort of portal, my portal has been into hell itself. Oh, but it's a delicious sort of hell.
We got a 360 (finally), and Gil got me Oblivion. I played it for a bit on the PC, but I'm really not all that fond of having to play at a desk. I quickly lost interest. When I started a new game (and spent 2 hours on the extremely frustrating character creation), I figured I would play for a little bit and get bored.
.......
That didn't happen. In fact, Gil greatly regrets buying me the game. He regrets it so much that he threatens to take it back, yet he downloaded all the addons for me off of Xbox Marketplace. He's suck a dork. :p
Okay, okay. I'm not eve getting to what I wanted to blog about. You know when you play that rare game that has moments that leave you breathless? Last night Oblivion did just that, and if I was playing it on the PC is never would have.
I'm taking the long scenic route to a dungeon I was needing for a quest. I was picking flowers when I decided to actually stop and admire the scenery. I was traveling through the Blackwoods, which is full of vegetation and tall pines. I couldn't help but to admite the detail of the tress. As I stood staring at the trees, I could hear and see the wind start to pick up. The wind picked up power and the trees were swaying periously. I could hear the wind all around me (love surround sound) and easily imagined feeling and smelling it. The sky started to darken and it started to storm.
It had me in awe.
Part of it was being able to see the gorgeous graphics (which were toned down on my PC) in such exquisite detail. I really felt as if I really was in Cyrodil.
Aside from all the pretty, it has some wonderful quests. I've had to enter a guy's dreams because he became trapped in his dreamworld. It wasn't much of a dreamworld. It was freaking Silent Hill-ish. I've had to rescue an artist who became trapped in his painting. I've got to experience people's petty (and sometimes not so petty) disputes in much greater detail than in Morrowind.
In short, this game rocks. I haven't logged into PSU for days. :o
Skip the cellphone shit and put it on my DS! NOW. :/ Better yet, just port the original LoM to the DS and you can make as many cellphone spinoffs as you want. :(
:o I didn't realize that it had been so long since I last blogged anything (anywhere). I guess I'm just bored with net stuff right now. /shrug
After about 4 years of being a woman of leisure, I'm going to get a job. The one I'm looking at will be just a weekend thing for minimum wage, but the idea is for me to earn a teeny bit of personal spending money. I also want to start a college savings account so I can go back to school...someday.
Hmm, I'm just not in the mood for blogging. One day I'll make a proper post.
To be safe, I decided to close my shop. I already reopened one on at alt, so I just send all my 'to sell' stuff to her. I kind of like having my robo-maid PM back inside of my room. It feels cozy again.
And holy hell, the new online story quest is a pain in the ass. It wouldn't be if I was still just level 34 (I would have had a C rank quest and everything would be easy), but at level 35 the boss kicks my ass. I'll try him again in a few levels, and when I have an ample backsupply of mates. It hurt going through all my mates and stars. :/ At least the 2nd part of the level is really pretty though. It reminds me of Caves 2 from PSO. <3
I've been dumping all my PSU pictures here.
I know it reflects terribly on my parenting. :p But the squeals of joy from Xander when I handed him the McDonald's giftcard from his grandma were just too cute. He really doesn't get it that often. My dad is the worst offender of giving in to Xan's whining for it, but as of late he might get a Happy Meal every two weeks or so.
I really had to wrestle that card away from him too. He wasn't going to let it go!
PSU has duping, but it's not too widespread yet. The thing that concerns me is the new My Room hacks. People can take your decorations and zero out your PM. I don't really want to close my shop, so I've locked my room for the time being. Hopefully Sega fixes this fast. If not, there is no way in hell that I'm sticking around. Duping is one thing, but ruining characters/rooms is unacceptable.
TBC here I come? Who knows...
I thought an entire night without the monkey would be a relief. Freedom! But no, I'm mopey and weepy and downright depressed. :(
This is only my second time to be away from him for a night. This is my first while I was at home and he was the one gone. It's too quiet...
I walk into the living room to discover a new fuzzy ornament in the Christmas tree. Xander's kitten loves climbing the trees outside, and it seems he loves the Christmas tree as well.
Speaking of climbing...
I put Xander down in his playpen last night (I move him to his toddler bed after he's fallen asleep). I start to hear the sound of drawers opening and closing and think it's just Gil in the bedroom. To be sure, I check on Xan to find that he has climbed out of the playpen. Not only that, but he also climbed to the top of his dresser to remove ornaments from his tree.
..........
I stand in the hallway watching him, and he climbs back into his playpen (he was using his toy box as a stepping stool). I chuckle, scold him and take his sippy cup to refill it. I stop by my parents room to tell them of his antics. While I'm in the kitchen filling up his cup I hear a pitter patter across the dining room floor. That monkey climbed out again and beelined for my parents room. He stayed with them for a bit and decided to go back to bed. Once again, he attempted to climb back into his playpen. I stopped him though and told him to go sleep in his 'big boy' bed, and put the baby gate up in his doorway.
He's a crafty little bugger. It's only a matter of time before he moves somthing over to the gate so he can climb over that.
He's doing better with his toddler bed. I still have to put him to sleep in his playpen (crib is already taken down, mattress being used in the new bed), but after he falls alseep I just move him to his bed. He did really well the first few nights, and slept the entire night in his bed without issue. The other day he woke up at 5:00, but after about 40 minues of running around the house he crawled back into his bed on his own. He hasn't done that again yet, but he likes to sit on it and watch TV. For the last couple of nights he's been crawling into bed with me, though. He shows up with his little beanbag pillow and throws it on me to wake me up. I don't mind, though. He's the perfect size for cuddling.
Same. I'm too consumed with WoW and now the expansion is coming out... I'll probably just post screens. read more
